Around Town: Harlow’s Cocktail Lounge & Restaurant
A true hidden gem, be ready for one of the best dining experiences when you visit Harlow’s Cocktail Lounge & Restaurant. This Bonsall restaurant is tucked away just a minute from the 76 and when stepping inside, you feel you’ve been transported to a place far away in time and distance. The Art Deco design and speakeasy vibe are exciting and the dreamy and downlit seating areas are soothing. We were early for our reservation so we enjoyed cocktails at the bar. I encourage you to visit their website to see what creations you can expect because there are too many enticing ones to write about. Pictured below is the Pear Tree.
When we were seated at our table, our server explained to us how the menu consists of small plates and shareables and was more than happy to provide intricate details of each dish. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best service we have received in a very long time. For our small plate, we shared the Wagyu Beef Sliders and for our shareables (which are mains but smaller portions), we had the Tellicherry Smoker Rub Elk and English Striped Bass. Absolutely delicious.
For dessert, we enjoyed the Apple Caramel Bread Pudding and the Sweet Potato Cheesecake while sipping on a Ruby Port. I could go on forever about this wonderful restaurant but I’ve run out of room for words and my other photos! Harlow’s is my favorite dining adventure in the San Diego area and I highly recommend.
