You may have heard of Frida’s Taqueria if you frequent Sunset Market on Thursdays. This local taco truck took their business to the next level and now have restaurants. When we tried Frida’s for the first time, I was brought back to the summer I studied abroad in Guadalajara because the flavors were so bold and authentic. Fresh and real, like I was eating at my host mother’s kitchen table.
Our first visit was on a Sunday night and the line was out the door but it moved fast. When we found out tacos are $2 on Tuesdays we returned and fed 10 of us for $40. There is so much protein in each taco, it’s unbelievable. Choose from asada, adobada, birria, carnitas, papas con soyrizo, chicharron and cabeza. We also ordered an asada quesadilla and it was gigantic, filled with meat, guacamole and cheese, no grease. The mulitas look delicious and will be on our next order.
